Work Experience:
Founder and Manager of the Polymer Group of Companies including Polymer Welding Services. Development and refinement of a unique ocean outfall process that negates the requirement for usage of divers other than for inspection purposes. Managed the successful installation of numerous ocean outfalls with a further six ocean outfalls currently under construction. Provision of mine maintenance contract services to Renison tin mine Tasmania for 6 years. Initiated the growth of the Polymer Welding Services to be the largest private client to Vinidex and Kellogg Brown and Roots (KBR) preferred non-ferrous pipe welder resulting in a listing with Austrade for overseas work.

McConnell Dowel Constructors Pty Ltd, Australia Project Manager on various projects including: $2 million Sewage outfall into Bass Strait, Tasmania, $13 million Roads and bridges contract in Sibu, Malaysia, $2.5 million piling and elevated road construction on City Link, Melbourne, $6.5 million Re-fuelling Facility for National Rail, Melbourne, Contracts Manager for a $32 million contract for the construction of a fast tracked Gas Fired Power Station in Adelaide, Safety & Environmental Manager for a $95 million Gas pipeline construction in Myanmar involving over 2.5 million man-hours of work through mountainous terrain. 1982-1993
Worked with Kier Construction Ltd, UK on various projects as a site civil engineer including tunnelling project in Fiji and a major dock extension in Felixstowe and then as site agent for the concrete works to an earth-fill dam in Africa and refurbishment of hydroelectric scheme in Wales, UK.

Work Experience:
Senior Site Supervisor for major projects responsible for all aspects of the works including procurement, fabrication and logistics. Projects undertaken include the successful installation of more than twelve ocean outfall's involving both directional drilled and towed submersible pipelines ranging from 180mm to 800mm diameter and length up to 850m. Supervised various mine maintenance contracts and major pipe installation projects including BHP's Minerva Gas project in Victoria and the Fosterville Gold Processing plant in Bendigo. Management of the workshop support and logistics required for the Roxby Downs Uranium plant refurbishment project in South Australia and the Tasmanian Aquaculture and Fisheries Institute development. Team Leader responsible for all in house training of personnel and fully qualified polymer pipe welder in accordance with the requirements of the Plastics Industry Pipe Association of Australia.

Workshop Foreman responsible for maintenance and refurbishment of all welding plant and equipment including calibration testing. Fabrication of specialised pipe fittings and manifolds to suit client requirements.
